 Quality Control Inspector
Department
  • Quality Control / Quality Assurance
Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities:
  • Read and understand drawings and specifications.
  • Inspect, test, and measure materials or products being produced.
  • Examine material or product to ensure proper quality and adherence to quality standards.
  • Approve or reject incoming materials, in-process production, and/or finished products by confirming specifications, and conducting visual and measurement tests.
  • Confirm re-worked products are in conformance.
  • Utilize hand tools, gauges, verniers, calipers, micrometers, height gages, surface plate, test indicators, volt/OHM meters, micrometers to .00005, optical comparator, and Rockwell Hardness Tester.
  • Advise MRB of non-conforming or defective parts, and mark type of defect on part, container of parts, or inspection tag.
  • Monitor or observe operations to ensure production standards are met.
  • Recommend adjustments to the process or assembly.
  • Document inspection results by completing reports and logs and inputting data into Quality Management System / eSynergy / ERP.
Desired Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 3-5 years prior experience in a Quality Control / Quality Assurance environment.
  • Extensive experience using hand tools, gauges, verniers, calipers, micrometers, height gages and other test instruments.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings.
  • Knowledge of Geometric Measuring and Tolerancing (GD&T), and First Article Inspection (FAI) process.
  • Detail orientated and organized with good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, have the ability to read and understand Work Instructions / Standard Operating Procedures, work independently, and clearly communicate / defend decisions regarding non-conformances.
  • Must be able to frequently lift and / or move up to 40 pounds.
